Orion Montaine joins Midland Fitness
Midland Fitness has hired licensed massage therapist and personal trainer Orion Montaine. Montaine graduated from Glenwood Springs High School and from Mountain Heart Massage School in Crested Butte. Being both a massage therapist and a personal trainer gives him a unique advantage. He can prescribe exercises based on massage feedback. He trains at Midland Fitness to maintain his outdoor athletic passions of trail running, rafting, martial arts and playing for Glenwood’s own Defiance Rugby. Massage certification training
Lotus Education Institute at 242 Main St. in Carbondale is offering a five-month professional massage certification training that helps students begin a new life and new career. Classes begin on Aug. 31 and meet 20 hours a week. Students may take a combination of online classes and hands-on intensives or attend strictly hands-on classes every week. Massage therapists must be licensed in the state of Colorado and take a professional licensure exam. The 500-hour professional certification at Lotus Education Institute thoroughly prepares students for entry into the massage therapy profession focusing on ethics, education, test preparation, professional development, health and happiness.

Glenwood Medical Associates hires nurse manager
Glenwood Medical Associates has hired Yvette Blanc as its new nurse manager. She graduated from Rifle High School and studied at Boston University and Colorado Mountain College. She received her BSN from Mesa State University in Grand Junction. She has worked at Glenwood Medical for four years.
