Jennifer Harbottle receives Parkinson’s Regeneration training

Jennifer Harbottle, personal trainer at Midland Fitness, has completed a special certification for helping clients with Parkinson’s disease (PD). Midland Fitness recently hosted a Parkinson’s Regeneration training clinic taught by PD exercise specialist Karl Sterling NASM-CPT.

Sterling travels around the U.S. to inform personal trainers, physical therapists, neurologists and caretakers about the latest PD research in regard to exercise. He works closely with doctors and scientists at New York University and Stony Brook University to find solutions for PD patients.

Harbottle and Sterling are organizing clinical trials for PD research locally to learn more about the disease and how exercise can help patients even more.

Call Midland Fitness at 945-4440 for more information on Jennifer and Parkinson’s Regeneration training.

Over 60,000 people are diagnosed with this disease each year in the U.S. Specific exercise has been proven to slow the progression of the disease significantly.
