Spa of the Rockies named Best for Families and Best for Hot Springs by Spafinder Wellness

Spa of the Rockies and Glenwood Hot Springs are getting some global attention thanks to Spafinder Wellness, an international consumer resource for the spa and wellness industry. At an awards ceremony held in London, England, Spafinder announced Spa of the Rockies was a winner in two categories: Best for Families and Best for Hot Springs.

“Of course it’s an honor to receive international recognition, but it’s just icing on the cake,” said Jeremy Gilley, director of sales and revenue for Glenwood Hot Springs and Spa of the Rockies. “Our hot springs and spa resort is world-famous not because of any accolade we might receive, but because it’s a historic, relaxing, family-oriented destination that people love to visit and return to year after year.”

The two 2016 Wellness Travel Awards are the most recent Spafinder honors for the resort. The Spa of the Rockies won Best Spa for Mineral Hot Springs three consecutive years running from 2011-2013. As an award winner, it will be showcased on, on, in Spafinder newsletters and blogs, as well as on Spafinder social media including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

The winners of the 2016 Wellness Travel Awards were chosen by a panel of 39 travel editors and experts who nominated and selected the finalists. The awards recognize excellence in the wellness industry on six continents and in 41 countries. This year, 388 finalists competed for top honors, and consumers cast over 130,000 ballots for their favorite properties, more than twice as many as were cast in 2015.

“The growth in wellness travel and the vast range of healthy travel options offered by these exceptional properties is remarkable,” said Spafinder General Manager John Bevan in a press release.
