Tomasso specializes in gastroenterology at GMA’s Internal Medicine clinic. According to the college, fellowship is awarded based on “personal integrity, superior competence in internal medicine, professional accomplishment, and demonstrated scholarship”. “This is quite an honor,” said Dr. Tomasso. “It means a lot to be nominated by my fellow physicians.”Speaking of scholarship, Tomasso is also a clinical instructor at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He is involved with teaching students and residents. “Being a clinical instructor enables me to give something back to my alma mater, and it also keeps me in touch with the next generation of physicians,” Tomasso explained. “I enjoy working with young pre-med students and, hopefully, passing on some of my practical experience to them.”
