Grief and Creativity Workshop begins, 7 p.m. at the Glenwood Springs Center for the Arts. Facilitated by Artist-in-Residence Renick Stevenson, this workshop is free to the public and welcomes donations only. Renick has years of experience in grief and loss training, and has worked with internationally renown singer/songwriter Beth Nielson Chapman in conducting grief workshops for children and adults. 11th Annual Queen’s Charity Golf Classic, beginning at noon (with lunch), with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. at the Glenwood Springs Golf Club. The event is still seeking sponsors for the event, including sponsors for individual holes, special events and a silent auction. A goal has been set of raising a minimum of $5,000. The Jack Smith Scholarship Golf Tournament, 8:30 a.m. (shot gun start) at the Rifle Creek Golf Course. This is a two-person scramble with two flights, competitive and leisure. Twenty percent of combined handicap prizes for gross and net. All proceeds go to the Jack Smith Scholarship at Rifle High School.

Fairy and Elf Festival, a whimsical celebration for children 3 and up, 3-5 p.m. at the Glenwood Springs Center for the Arts. As always, costumes are definitely encouraged. Free.


Relay for Life fundraiser, featuring raffles, giveaways, free samples, and happy hour specials, 10 a.m. to closing at Glenwood Meadows Mall. Organized by the Roaring Fork Valley Relay for Life and mall merchants. KMTS radio will be doing a live feed from 4-6 p.m. with Moe’s Restaurant providing live music.

Deck Art Day, available for children all ages, 2-4 p.m. at the Glenwood Springs Community Center Pool.

10th annual Valley Cruisers Car Show, beginning with a poker run, 3:30 p.m. from Sopris Park in Carbondale and ending at the Carbondale NAPA store for a barbecue, free to all participants, starting at 4 p.m. Cars will cruise to downtown Carbondale at 6:30 p.m., where they will be displayed until 10 p.m. Live rock and roll music will entertain.
