US Senate candidate Mike Miles will be in Glenwood Springs at noon on Monday, March 1, for lunch at the Glenwood Canyon Brew Pub to meet the public and answer questions. Miles will also travel to Battlement Mesa for a meeting at 3 p.m. the same day. Information: 285-9826.

The final speaker in the Tomorrow’s Voices Speaker Series is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, March 1, in the Roaring Fork High School Auditorium. Beth Shoemaker, a valley educator, will be discussing the impact of a global economy on the environment.

The Riverside Association of Parents (RAP) will be having a meeting at 6:30 p.m. on March 2 in the Riverside Library. All parents are welcome and encouraged to come.

Glenwood Springs High School will host a blood drive in honor of Cody Brickell from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3, in the school’s Multi-Purpose Room. Come share your rhythmic bliss at the Carbondale Community Drum Circle, held from 7:30-9:30 p.m. March 5 at Carbondale Community School. A beginners’ orientation lesson will be held at 6:30 p.m. on the fundamentals of technique and rhythmic patterns. Instruments will be available for rent for $5 for the evening, beginners’ lessons are $5 and a $5 donation is welcomed from drum circle participants to help defray space rental.
