Capt. DuBois comes home
GRAND JUNCTION — Air Force Capt. Will DuBois of New Castle returned to Colorado on Thursday and was greeted by a wealth of flags and support.
DuBois, 30, died Dec. 1 when his F-16 crashed in Jordan early in a mission that was planned as an attack on ISIS. Flags around Colorado are at half-staff through Sunday in his honor.
His body, accompanied by law enforcement and his parents, William “Ham” and Donna DuBois of New Castle, traveled from the Grand Junction airport to Grand Valley Funeral Home. The funeral for DuBois, a 2003 Rifle High School graduate, will be at the high school on Sunday.
DuBois, who also graduated from the University of Colorado-Boulder, was assigned to the 77th Fighter Squadron at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina.
