Car accident sends Glenwood teenager to hospital

An auto accident on Midland Avenue west of Glenwood Meadows Tuesday sent one girl to the hospital and totaled two cars. Jacqueline Noel, 17, of Glenwood Springs, was cited for failing to obey a stop sign at the west end of Wulfsohn Road at Midland Avenue, said Glenwood Police Chief Terry Wilson. Darren Stukes, 27, of Rifle, was headed east on Midland Avenue when Noel plowed into his car, damaging it severely. Noel was carrying four teenage passengers, most of whom sustained minor injuries. One of the passengers was taken to Valley View Hospital. Her condition was unknown Wednesday. Contact Bobby Magill: 945-8515, ext. 520bmagill@postindependent.com
