Just after 6 p.m. Thursday, a vehicle traveling eastbound on Interstate 70 reportedly lost control and went off the guardrail into the Colorado River in South Canyon.

Colorado State Patrol trooper Gary Cutler said the 16-year old male driver from Rifle got out of the vehicle with minor injuries.

Emergency vehicles blocked the right lane of eastbound I-70 for several hours on Thursday night.
