Meets second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 7 p.m. at Town Hall. Seven of nine members must live within town limits. Trustees appoint members based on experience, perspective, vision, and commitment.Committee holds public hearings, approving or rejecting development proposals; considers applications for additional dwelling units, changes in zoning on specific lots, increases in density, etc. Writes the town’s Comprehensive Plan, which is used as the guide for planning, zoning, and development decisions. Most decisions must be approved by Board of Trustees.Four-year terms ending in August, no limit. Application can be found on the Town of Carbondale Web site.
