Carbondale Community School students test their limits with a triathlon
ALL |
Fifth- through eighth-graders from Carbondale Community School tested their athletic abilities at last Tuesday’s CCS Triathlon, held at the Carbondale pool and Sopris Park.
The youngsters have been swimming all year at the Glenwood Springs Community Center as part of their physical education program, which is directed by P.E. teacher Robin Jacober.
Winning Tuesday’s triathlon, which was originally scheduled for last Monday but was pushed back a day due to inclement weather, was seventh-grader Brittany Bruder.
Finishing second was eighth-grader Keegan Swirbul. Noah Shamis, a sixth-grader, took third, and eighth-graders Dani Brownell-Patty and Alex Fisher wound up in a tie for fourth place.
