Carbondale posts 12 sales in January

January market results are in for the midvalley region comprising the intersection regions of Garfield, Eagle and Pitkin counties.

January posted $10,018,400 in total dollars. Carbondale (Garfield County) led the area with nearly 68 percent of the dollar volume, totaling about $6.8 million. Basalt (Eagle County) totaled $2.66 million (27 percent), and El Jebel (Eagle County) posted $562,500, (5.6 percent). With regard to transactions, Carbondale posted 12, 80 percent of 15 total available. Basalt represented 13 percent with 2 and El Jebel rounded out the total with a single transaction, totaling 6.7 percent to complete the area total.

The average residential price for January came in at $607,033, which is a decrease from December. However, the median of $533,750 was up from December. In addition, the average price per square foot came in at $293.37 for the midvalley area.
