Carbondale RFTA service continues through bridge closure

The Roaring Fork River Bridge at the intersection of State Highway 133 and State Highway 82 at the entrance to Carbondale will be closed from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Dec. 17 to allow for construction on the bridge widening project. RFTA will continue to serve all the Carbondale bus stops without any schedule disruptions. Motorists traveling up valley are advised to use County Road 154 and County Road 109 (Westbank and Hardwick Bridge Road) to reach Carbondale from eastbound State Highway 82. Motorists traveling down valley are advised to use County Road 100 (Catherine Store Road) to reach Carbondale from westbound State Highway 82. Variable message signs and detour signing will be in place to guide motorists to the detour routes.
