Carbondale seeks county EAB representative
CARBONDALE ” Applications are being sought from Carbondale-area residents interested in representing the town on the Garfield County Energy Advisory Board (EAB).
The EAB’s mission, according to a town press release, is to: “… provide a forum for the oil and gas industry, the public, impacted landowners and local government to prevent or minimize conflict associated with oil and gas development through positive and proactive communication and actions that encourage responsible and balanced development of these resources in Garfield County.”
The town may nominate one representative and an alternate to serve on the EAB. Nominees are then designated by the county commissioners and the county’s oil and gas liaison.
The EAB meets monthly and reports to the county commissioners on a quarterly basis.
Citizens wishing to serve on the EAB should send a resume with a statement of interest no later than April 22 to: EAB, Town of Carbondale, 511 Colorado Ave., Carbondale, CO 81623, or via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
For more information, visit the town website [www.carbondalegov.org], or contact Kay Philip at 704-4112.
