Carbondale’s 100th Potato Days festival continues

Carbondale presents the 100th Potato Days celebration this weekend.Saturday’s events include the annual Tater Trot 5K and 1 Mile fun run beginning at 8 a.m. next to the Hendrick Ranch soccer park. Also starting at 8 a.m. will be the farmers market in Sopris Park, followed by the parade on Main Street at 10:30 a.m., a community barbecue in the park at noon, and music by the Redtones from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.On Sunday from 2-6 p.m. will be the Last Days of Summer Rodeo & Bareback Bonanza and Senior Matters barbecue fundraiser at the Gus Darien Arena located on County Road 100 east of town. Registration begins at 2 p.m., and events start at 3 p.m.
