Carl Williams

Carl Dennis Williams of Tulare, Calif., died Friday, July 11, 2003. He was 85.

He was born Nov. 6, 1917, in Monroe, Tenn.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.



Mr. Williams worked as a plasterer, then worked for Union Oil in California for 20 years, retiring as foreman.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and going to swap meets and flea markets.



He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Williams.

Mr. Williams is survived by daughters Kathy Dunkin and Debbie Campbell, both of California; by a son, Mike Williams, of California; by brothers Charles Williams of Long Beach, Calif., and Billy Williams of Grand Junction; by sisters Alena Douglas of Parachute and Irene Payton of DeBeque; by four grandchildren, two great-grandsons and many nieces and nephews.

Private services were held.

Peers Lorentzen Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
