Carol Ann Bernal, 45, passed away April 29, 2007, at her home in Rifle.She was born April 18, 1962, in Ft. Ord, Calif., to Darwin T. and Karren (Watts) McDonald.Carol had been a resident of the Rifle area for more than seven years. Her greatest joy in life was her family and her grandchildren. She loved boating, fishing and playing with her grandchildren. She was blessed by everyone she met and no one was ever a stranger to her. She was loved by all.She is survived by her husband and love of her life, Jody Bernal; children Michael, Misty, Matthew and Mark; 11 grandchildren; mother; brother Dan McDonald; and sisters Mary Smith and Tina Killion.Carol was preceded in death by her father and two grandchildren.A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 6, at the Coulter Lake Guest Ranch in Rifle. Casual dress is requested.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in Carol’s name to the Roaring Fork Hospice c/o Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs.Rifle Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
