Carol "Ginger" Davis
Ginger, 58 of Silt, Colorado passed away due to complications from leukemia Feb. 23, 2011 at Valley View Hospital where she had worked as an ER nurse for 19 yrs.
Ginger was born in Chicago, IL in 1952 where she grew up and graduated from nursing school. Ginger and her husband Matt moved to Carbondale in 1986 and then Silt in 1995. She loved boating, hiking, snow shoeing and of course animals. She is survived by her husband, sister, niece and beloved dogs Sunny and Dexter. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ginger’s memory may be made to the Rifle Animal Shelter, or the new Valley View Hospital Cancer Center.

Forest Service investigates Independence Pass snowmobiling case; alleged culprit posted pictures on social media
Numerous people have identified Breckenridge resident David Lesh as one of the men riding snowmobiles on snow-free terrain near Aspen. Lesh has posted several pictures of his illegal activity on social media, including snowmobiling at what he identified as the summit of Mount Elbert.
