Carrie Elizabeth Kennedy

Carrie Elizabeth Kennedy, 97, passed away in Aurora on Feb. 26, 2006.Carrie was born Dec. 19, 1908, in Virginia, Minn.She married Raymond Kennedy on May 27, 1935, in Virginia, Minn. She was a member of the Sand Lake Chapel in Virginia for many years, where she helped her father, Ralph Ausgaard, start the Sunday School program there. She lived in the Cook, Minn., area for many years and managed the Meadow Brook Post Office in her home for 12 years. She was a member of the Mission Covenant Church in Cook.She moved to Colorado in approximately 1965, where she worked at the Hot Springs Pool in Glenwood Springs for about 10 years. She retired in the Denver area. Carrie is survived by sons David (Millie), of Chisholm, Minn., Gordon (Betty), of Carlsbad, N.M., and Byron, of Reno, Nev.; daughter Doris Seline, of Aurora; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband and two sisters, Inez and Ruth.There will be funeral services at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Farnum-Holt Funeral Home Chapel, 405 W. Seventh St. in Glenwood Springs. Burial will follow in Rosebud Cemetery. Farnum-Holt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
