Carrie Louise Hopkins

Carrie Louise (Martin) Hopkins died on April 15, 2010 after a valiant year-long fight with throat cancer.

Carrie was born in Glenwood Springs on Sept. 23, 1952 to Carlos and Rachel Martin and spent most of her younger years living in several different communities in Garfield County. In her adult life she lived in Western Texas, Craig, and Fruita, where she was living when she passed away.

Carrie was preceded in death by her father, mother, two brothers and one sister.



She is survived by her sisters, Betty Jo (Gorden) Carnes, Nancy (Bob) Halbert; aunt, Marie Henderson of Pasadena, Calif.; nephews, John Krabbe, Wayne Krabbe, Butch Carnes, Robert Halbert, Jr.; a niece, Terresa Halbert and their families; as well as numerous cousins, other family members and friends in Craig and Fruita.

No services are planned.
