Carrol G. Duprey

Carrol Duprey entered Eternal Life Sunday August 30, 2009 in Denver, Colorado. He entered into life in Clyde, Kansas September 13, 1913 to Ernest and Lena Duprey growing up on a small acreage just outside of Clyde, Kansas. Carrol married Harriet Moxham September 19, 1937. The couple stayed briefly in Kansas, but then moved to Denver, Colorado.

Carrol was a jack of All Trades, but mainly working for The Denver Tramway Company as a Machinist until his retirement in 1975. He will be always fondly remembered for his sense of humor, friendliness, tenacity, love of cars but most of all as the ‘fix it’ man.

Carrol was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Vera and his loving wife Harriet. He is survived by one daughter Judy (Jon) Petersen of Thornton, two sons Harry Duprey of Westminster, Kenneth (Marti) Duprey of Glenwood Springs, three grandsons Jonathan Petersen of Craig, Robert Petersen of Fort Collins, and Patrick Duprey of Glenwood Springs.

A Celebration of life was held September 5, 2009 at South Broadway Christian Church, with Interment at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery in Denver. Memorial Contributions may be made to Carrol’s favorite charity, The Salvation Army.
