One of the suspected New Castle burglars got caught – for a moment.By Ivy VogelPost Independent StaffOne of the suspected New Castle burglars got caught – for a moment.John Patrick Sessler, 44, of Edwards, was arrested as he was leaving a home he was charged with breaking into in New Castle.Sessler was booked on charges of burglary, criminal attempt, possession of Schedule II drugs and possession of Schedule III drugs. All three charges are felonies.Sessler used a bondsman to pay his bond and is now out of jail.”We don’t know where he went, but people should be leery of him,” said Dennis Mahan of the New Castle Police Department.Police have notified the owners of the home about Sessler’s release.The New Castle Police Department received several calls about Sessler after residents recognized his white van with brown paneling parked on Lupine Street.Sessler was caught after leaving the home of a sheriff’s deputy.Police say Sessler took prescription drugs belonging to the owners of the home.Sessler’s case is being turned over to the district attorney.Police do not know why Sessler was in the area and have not checked his criminal record, Mahan said.Contact Ivy Vogel: 945-8515, ext.
