CDOT needs to get its act together

Dear Editor,

If the chip and seal project the CDOT did on Monday, July 14, is any indication of how they will be handling the paving of Grand Avenue in 2004, we are all going to be in major trouble.

We have been through the TREX project in Denver on several occasions and have not experienced the traffic jam that CDOT created here on Monday. It took me over one hour to go from 15th and Grand to West Glenwood at 7 p.m. Several co-workers left our offices around 6 p.m., and it took them even longer.

Where were the traffic control personnel? Why aren’t they doing this project at night?

I do hope they get their act together before the paving project in 2004
