Celebrate World Breastfeeding Week right here in Mesa County Aug. 1-7
The Mesa County Breastfeeding Task Force and Colorado Baby are marking World Breastfeeding Week this Thursday, Aug. 1, at the Downtown Farmer’s Market in Grand Junction.
From 5 to 8 p.m., breastfeeding or expecting mothers — and other supporters — are invited to stop by Colorado Baby, 560 Main St. Attendees can enter to win a Lansinoh electric breast pump and other prizes.
Support from family, friends, health care providers, employers, child care providers, communities and the media can help a mother successfully breastfeed.
International Board Certified Lactation Consultants work in communities, including at worksites, to assist breastfeeding families. To find a consultant, visit http://www.ILCA.org.
