Moo passed peacefully in Dan’s arms on October 12 with Rebecca and Susan at our side. Born in Silt on Mothers’s Day to a friend Jess’ pup Leilani; puppyhood was spent in New Castle, where she had amazing neighbors Janie, Sylvia, Susan, Jason and Margie. She touched our community’s heart, from her favorite ladies at the Library to Frank, then Mayor, Chris, then the Police Chief. We are honored that throughout her time in New Castle and Glenwood Springs, she was loved and adored by everyone in the community. She lived for outdoor adventures. She whitewater rafted, hiked Mt. Sopris, took backcountry trips and loved our special spot outside Moab. As a puppy, Molly flew to Chicago where she had the pleasure of sailboating on Lake MI with one of her best friends, Bethany. In 2015 we moved to Humboldt Park in Chicago where she was the pride of the Hood. Neighbor Janelle loved her so much she got a puppy who Molly helped train. Her Aunt Kate, Uncle Mike, Nolan, Sawyer and Persephone loved her beyond belief and spent much quality time with them. We made our move back to Colorado in February. MooMoo couldn’t be have been happier. Nearing the end, Shannon, Trey and Bryce helped keep her comfortable daily until she joined all her friends up in doggie heaven. She will be missed by us all.
All are welcome to spread her cremains during a “MooMorial” service, near the bridge of Highway 6 and Elk Creek on
October 22 at 6:30pm.
