Charles Robert Gross

Charles was born in Glenwood Springs to Bob and Jackie Gross; Chuck passed away at home. He was 53.

A lifetime resident of Carbondale, Chuck graduated from Roaring Fork High School in 1975. He enjoyed participating in sports.

Chuck was a member of Sons of the American Legion. He organized charitable events and proudly worked as a volunteer. He took great pleasure in helping those less fortunate. Chuck was lucky to have two families, the Gross family and The American Legion.

Chuck loved golf, gambling, the Broncos and all other Colorado sporting events. He was co-owner of Gross Locker Plant with his brother Rocky.

Chuck was the oldest of five children. He is survived by his brothers, Scott (Kristi), Rocky (Lisa), Tony (Jane); sister, Lisa; he was blessed with a large family including 12 nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Sons of American Legion, Carbondale, in memory of Chuck Gross.

A memorial service will be held Monday, March 22, 2010 at 11a.m. at Farnum Holt Funeral Home in Glenwood Springs. A celebration of his life will be following the service at the American Legion, Carbondale, at 1:30p.m.
