Charles loved being called Chuckles, he could be quite the jokester when the mood struck. His family, wife and daughter were the apple of his eyes. He loved nothing more than the garden and flowers and watching the deer in his yard.

He is survived by his wife; daughter Candy Holgate; sister Willina Reid; cousins and their families; numerous nieces and nephews; and great friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his in-laws, Odie and Florence Cooper; and brothers William, George and Gene.

A viewing will take place from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, April 5 at the Farnum Holt Funeral Home in Glenwood Springs.
