GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado ” As a local mother, triathlete, cancer survivor ” and all around hero ” Nancy Reinisch has the kind of story that can’t help but amaze people. Perfectly healthy all her life, she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006.

Now, more than two years later, she’s cancer-free.

Her journey to this point is wrapped into her new book, “Chemosabee: A Triathlete’s Journey Through the First Year of Breast Cancer.”

She will be on-hand from 5-7 p.m. Thursday in the upper lobby of the Valley View Hospital. Reinisch will introduce the book, read bits from it and show a few slides.

Tours of the Cancer Center and information on cancer support groups will be available, as well. Light refreshments will be served.
