Cheyne Michael Gallagher
Cheyne Michael Gallagher of Rifle and Steamboat Springs died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002, in a car accident in Routt County. He was 22.
Mr. Gallagher was born April 15, 1980, in Grand Rapids, Mich., to Bruce and Sharon Green Gallagher. He grew up in Rifle and graduated from Rifle High School in 1999.
He earned an associate of arts degree from Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat Springs.
He enjoyed life, friends, music, art, the outdoors, photography, poetry and snowboarding, and he was loved by all.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Rifle.
Mr. Gallagher is survived by his parents, Bruce and Sharon Gallagher of Rifle; a brother, Quinn Gallagher of Boston, Mass., and grandparents Ken and Mary Ann Stephens of Big Rapids, Mich.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17, at Rifle Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 18, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Rifle, with Monsignor Robert Hehn officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Rifle.
Rifle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cheyne Gallagher Memorial Fund at the Burning Mountain Credit Union, member No. 40895, in Rifle.
