Chris Thomas Brashear III

Chris Thomas Brashear III, 47, passed away June 22, 2005.

He was born in Commerce, Texas, on Feb. 18, 1958, to Chris and Dot Brashear.

After graduation from Stevens High School in Rapid City, S.D., Chris moved to Odessa, Texas, to work in the oil fields.

Chris returned to Rapid City, where he met and married Kristie Thomas on June 2, 1984. They were blessed with one son, Troy Thomas Brashear. They had just celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary.

He loved the outdoors, dirt biking, and camping. Harleys, family and friends were his passion. He loved his many friends and family and always had a great story to tell.

Chris is survived by his wife and his son, of Rifle; parents, Chris and Dot Brashear, of Millersview, Texas; brothers George Brashear, of Midland, Texas, and Bill Brashear, of Carbondale; sister Brenda Sommers, of Lonetree; his wife’s parents, Johnny and Elaine Thomas, of Ray, Mont.; and brother-in-law Gene Thomas, of Auburn, Wash.

There is a private memorial service today.
