Christian Donovan Sopp

Christian (Chris) Donovan Sopp of Colorado Springs passed away Dec. 30, 2006, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.She was born Oct. 3, 1971, in Denver, to Joe and Genie Donovan. The family moved to Carbondale, where she grew up with her twin brother, Craig.She graduated from Roaring Fork High School in 1990, and the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 1994 with a degree in English and journalism. She started her television career with KRDO and continued as a photographer/reporter with KOAA in Colorado Springs.She is survived by her husband, Bill; step-children Ryan and Tessa; parents; twin brother; grandmother; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at the Woodmen Valley Stone Chapel, 290 E. Woodmen Drive in Colorado Springs.In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to the Sarcoma Foundation of America, 9884 Main St., P.O. Box 458, Damascus, MD 20872.
