Christmas Eve church services
Glenwood Springs, CO Colorado
The First United Methodist Church of Glenwood Springs, 824 Cooper Ave., will have two candlelight services on Christmas Eve, Friday, Dec. 24.
The youth and family service will be at 6 p.m., and the traditional service will be at 7:30 p.m. For more information call 945-6232.
The Church at Carbondale will have two candlelight services on Christmas Eve, at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., at the church located at 110 Snowmass Drive, Carbondale.
There will also be a live Nativity at the barn located south of town on Highway 133; follow the star.
Hot chocolate and hot coffee will also be served in the Gathering Center from 4:30-8 p.m.; bring a plate of cookies to share. For more information, call 963-8773.
Carbondale Community United Methodist Church, located at 385 S. Second St., will have two Christmas Eve services on Friday, Dec. 24.
The early service will be at 6:30 p.m., and will include music by the Mertensia Hand Bell Choir, lighting the Christ Candle, a children’s Christmas pageant with carols, a blessing of the children, and a candlelight closing.
A traditional Christmas Eve candlelight service will be at 9 p.m., also including lighting of the Christ Candle, Christmas Carols, telling of the Christmas story, holy communion and a candlelight closing.
New Hope Church will have a Christmas Eve service at 6 p.m. at Coal Ridge High School.
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church will hold Christmas Eve services at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Dec. 24. All are welcome. GSLC is located at 1630 Grand Ave. in Glenwood Springs. For further information, please call 945-6848.
Mountain View Church will have two candlelight Christmas Eve Services on Dec. 24 at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Child care is provided up through age 4. Mountain View is located 1.5 miles south of Glenwood Springs on Highway 82 next to Buffalo Valley. This will be an hour of beautiful Christmas music and a message from Pastor Dave Pearson titled “Do You Hear the Shepherd’s Invitation?” Please call 945-8328 for more information.
