"Chuck" Charles Adam Smith Dec. 4, 1959 – June 19, 2004

“Chuck” Charles Adam Smyth was born on Dec. 4, 1959, in Baker, Ore., and died June 19, 2004, at his home in Missouri Heights. He was 44. Chuck grew up in Bend, Ore., and moved to the Roaring Fork Valley after graduating from high school in the late ’70s. Chuck had his own hardwood flooring business.Many homes in Aspen and throughout the surrounding valleys show off his expertise and craftsmanship. Chuck was also an avid golfer and loved to attend all the bluegrass festivals around the state.Debby, Heather and D.J. are left behind, along with the many friends he had all over these valleys, plus his faithful dog, Jenny. Chuck is survived by his mother, Jean, and father, Bob Smyth of Burns, Ore., brothers Corey and his family of Hawaii, and Todd of Snowmass.A memorial service will be held at the Church at Carbondale at 4 p.m., Thursday, June 24.It will be followed with a celebration of Chuck’s life at the American Legion.
