Valley Havurah

Shabbat Shalom. The Torah readings for this week are Parashat Be-hukkotai, Leviticus 26:3-27:34, and the Haftarah Be-hukkotai is Jeremiah 16:19-17:14. Candle lighting is at 8:05 p.m. The beginning Hebrew class begins Wednesday, June 4. Learn the Aleph-Bet in five weeks. Join in Friday, June 6, for a dairy potluck to celebrate Shavuot, the giving of the Torah by God to Moses. Custom honors the belief that the words of the Torah are as pleasant to our hearts and minds as milk and honey to our taste. Read the beautiful story of Ruth and Naomi during this holiday. Please call Valley Havurah, 984-2655, to sign up for the class or make reservations for the potluck.
