Carbondale Methodist Church

Lutheran Church

Tri-Community Catholic Parishes

The Tri-Community Catholic Parishes of Rifle, Parachute and Silt gather to celebrate Mass every weekend on the following schedule: St. Mary’s, 761 Birch Ave., Rifle, 8 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Misa in Espanol at noon; St. Brendan Parish, Parachute, 4:30 p.m. Saturday; Sacred Heart Parish, Silt, 7 p.m. Saturday. New Hope Church

Unitarian

Universalist services

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation meets the first, second and third Sundays of each month. Coffee and conversation are at 9:30 a.m., with the church service at 10 a.m. Religious education for children runs concurrently with the service. St. Stephen’s

Catholic Church

Congregational Church of the Valley

The Congregational Church of the Valley, 6th and Home in Silt, meets every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. for worship service and children’s Sunday School. An adult Bible forum for inquiring minds is held at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday. Information: 625-4320.

Baptist services

The Glenwood Springs Baptist Church holds regular worship service at 10:45 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Sundays. Sunday school begins at 10 a.m. Corporate prayer and Bible study are at 7 p.m. Wednesdays. Information: Pastor Justin M. Hall, 947-0084.

First Assembly

of God Services

The First Assembly of God Church, 1123 Pitkin Ave., Glenwood Springs, holds Sunday School at 9:30 a.m., Sunday worship service at 10:30 a.m., Sunday evening service at 6 p.m. and Wednesday family night at 7 p.m. Information: Pastor Tom Behrend, 945-9709.

Grand River

Baptist Church

The Grand River Baptist Church, “A Place for You,” 126 N. 4th St., New Castle, welcomes everyone to its worship service and junior church worship at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday. The Sunday school and college/career class meet at 9:45 a.m. First-time visitors invited. Bible study is at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The church’s bus can give you a lift; call 625-4597 for a ride. Glenwood Church of Christ

The Glenwood Church of Christ holds Sunday Bible classes at 9 a.m. and worship services at 10 a.m. A new Wednesday night class is at 7 p.m. The youth group meets at 9 a.m. on Sunday and at 7 p.m on Wednesday. Students Pursuing Outrageous Relationships with the King meets every Thursday from 3:30-5 p.m., for grades 6 to 8.

River of Life Worship Center

FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH of NEW CASTLE

First Baptist Church, 172 N. 7th St., New Castle, holds Sunday morning celebration service, Children’s Church (3 years to first grade) and Power Hour (grades 2-5) all at 10 a.m. Sunday Bible classes start at 9 a.m. Ladies’ Bible studies meetings are at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Thursdays. First Presbyterian Church

The public is invited each Sunday to a spiritually uplifting service at First Presbyterian Church, 1016 Cooper Ave., Glenwood Springs. Worship service is at 10 a.m.; all are welcome to join church members afterward for fellowship time. Children are called to Sunday school during the worship service. In addition, a lively adult Sunday school class meets at 9 a.m. Sundays for Bible discussion and coffee. Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of every month. The church is handicap accessible. Church at Carbondale

The Church at Carbondale will hold a regular service at 9 a.m. at its new church, 110 Snowmass Drive. Join the Church at Carbondale every Sunday for an hour-long service that includes music with a contemporary praise band followed by a practical, life-changing message. Grace Church of the Roaring Fork Valley meets for worship at 10 a.m. Sunday at the Eagle County Community Center in El Jebel. Good Shepherd services

United Methodist services

The Basalt Community United Methodist Church has moved and now has ample parking. Sunday worship services at the Basalt Community United Methodist Church, 0167 Holland Hill Road, are at 9:30 a.m., and services in Thomasville (at 24593 Frying Pan Road) are at 7 p.m. Information: 927-4098.

A Spiritual Center

Marble Church services

Sunday services at the Marble Community Church are at 10 a.m. with Pastor Linda Arocha-Boylan and organist Becky Macuen.

Buddhist philosophy taught

Christ Community Church

Christ Community Church meets at 10 a.m Sundays. The message is contemporary and relevant to modern life. The current series is entitled, “Developing a Christian Worldview.” The Children’s program, All-Stars, meets at the same time with a special service, including music, dramas and more.
