Parenting teenagers seminar offered
The First United Methodist Church, 824 Cooper Ave., Glenwood Springs, presents a parenting teenagers seminar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, with Dr. Dana Max. Max is a clinical psychologist in private practice and has worked extensively with young people. He will speak about the eight essential ingredients for effective parenting, the ten commandments of effective communication, adolescent development and creative consequences. Bible study begins Sept. 11
A Precept Upon Precept Bible study entitled “Covenant,” runs from Sept. 11 to Dec. 11 at Mountain View Church in Glenwood Springs. The Precept study method is embraced by people seeking to know the truths of the Word of God for themselves. These in-depth studies are widely acclaimed for their practical, personal approach to Bible study. The study includes homework discussion and lecture to unlock the message of God’s Word.
