Churches open, meetings scheduled for war discussions
For people interested in talking or praying about the War in Iraq a number of meeting places have been set up around the valley. -Valleywide Town Square Series, from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursdays at Basalt Town Hall.-Basalt Churches: St. Vincent’s Catholic Church, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and the Basalt Community United Methodist Church will be open every day until the war ends.-Carbondale Community United Methodist Church will be open every day.-Glenwood Springs Mennonite Church, prayer vigil at 7 p.m. Tuesdays. for more information call Tricia McKenzie, 618-5475.
