Cindy Lou Rogers, 51, longtime Parachute resident, passed away Oct. 4, 2008, in Sterling.She was born Feb. 8, 1957, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to William Stanley and Joanne Edith (Gray) Fowkes.Cindy married Timothy Ray Rogers, and they were married for 13 years before he passed away.She enjoyed raising rabbits, gardening, and taking care of her horses. She doted on her grandchildren.Cindy moved to Sterling two years ago.Survivors include her companion of 12 years, Larry Nielson of Sterling; her mother; daughters Amber Donovan of Haxtun and Ashley Bunce of Grand Junction; son Corey Rogers of Parachute; grandchildren Kylie and Hunter Donovan; sisters Linda Moore and Heather Moots of Parachute; and brothers Bill Fowkes of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Tim Fowkes of Parachute.She was preceded in death by her father and her husband.Services will be held at a later date.Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
