Clarence ‘Wayne’ Payton

Clarence “Wayne” Payton, 86, passed away Dec. 1, 2012.

He is survived by his wife, Alberta (Gardner); son Rand (Theresa); a daughter, Ann (Steve) Williams and five grandchildren: Shawna (Ablajan Haytek), Katie, and Brett (Britney) Williams, and Eric (Diana), and Michael Payton; great grandchildren, Alexandria and Isabella Payton and Conner Williams. He missed his brothers and sisters Dale, Warren, Dorothy, Fred, and Madge Peak; Lily and Norman are hanging in there.

Services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 6 at 10:30 a.m. at the old Battlement Mesa Schoolhouse at 7235 County Road 300.
