Post Independent
Glenwood Springs, CO Colorado

An errant headline in the March 7 Glenwood Springs Post Independent apparently has lead to a small cyclone of incorrect news reports about a local business.

The business, EnviroTextiles LLC, is a broker of alternative fibers such as industrial hemp, which is grown in other countries and used in making clothing and other products that are sold in the U.S.

EnviroTextiles was recently approved by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to list the company’s products on a federal procurement website. The company was not granted federal permission to grow hemp, which remains illegal under federal law.
