VALLEY DOG RESCUE: A story in the Sunday edition of the Post Independent about “May Day for Mutts” did not include the name of Valley Dog Rescue in Carbondale, an organization headed by longtime canine rescuer Ursula Shepherd. Valley Dog Rescue had a booth at May Day for Mutts, and was able to adopt out several dogs on Saturday.
