BRIDGEWORK: An item in the Mountain Mailbag on March 4 identified Ray Schmahl as the owner of BTE Concrete Formwork. Schmahl is an active owner of the company, but is currently on loan to a joint venture building a new San Francisco to Oakland Bay Bridge. Schmahl’s partner, Terry Ostrom, is serving as BTE’s general manager and partner Paul Plattner served as the general superintendent for the Aspen footbridge project.
