Clerk reminds of 2006 Primary Election deadlines

Garfield County Clerk Mildred Alsdorf reminds all eligible voters that the deadlines below will be in effect for the 2006 Primary Elections.Early voting from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, July 31, at the Garfield County Courthouse, Jury Room 402; and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the County Human Services Building, 195 W. 14th St. in Rifle.Friday, Aug. 4, is the last day to vote early.Tuesday, Aug. 1, is the last day to request an absentee ballot to be mailed to voters.Friday, Aug. 4, is the last day to request an absentee ballot, not mailed.Tuesday, Aug. 8, is the Primary Election. It is a polling place election. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.Combined Polling PlacesPrecincts 1 and 4: River Valley Ranch (Barn), 333 River Valley Ranch Drive, CarbondalePrecincts 1, 2, 3 and 4: Carbondale Town Hall, 511 Colorado Ave., CarbondalePrecincts 5, 6, 7, 8: Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1630 Grand Ave., Glenwood SpringsPrecincts 9, 10, 11, 12: Glenwood Springs Community Center, 100 Wulfsohn Road, Glenwood SpringsPrecincts 13, 14, 15, 18: New Castle Community Center, 423 W.
