Coal Ridge soccer now faces Alamosa

Due to inaccuracies in polling information provided to the Colorado High School Activities Association’s seeding committee, the Class 3A boys soccer playoff bracket released Sunday underwent some alterations on Monday.

One local school – Coal Ridge – saw its first-round destination change. In the original bracket, the 17th-seeded Titans drew Telluride. In the new bracket, Coal Ridge remained at No. 17 but will instead travel to face No. 16 Alamosa on Wednesday. The game time is set for 3:30 p.m.

The first-round matchups for Roaring Fork and Rifle were not changed. The Rams will host Bruce Randolph at 4 p.m. today.

Though CHSAA lists Wednesday as the date for first-round games, Rifle is slated to travel to Kent Denver on Thursday for a 3 p.m. game. The schools scheduled a later date to work around forecasts calling for inclement weather.
