Colo. Gov. Hickenlooper brings economic tour to Glenwood Springs this Thursday
Gov. John Hickenlooper will visit Glenwood Springs tomorrow as part of his “Bottom-Up Economic Development Plan” tour of Colorado cities and towns.
Hickenlooper will start his visit with a meeting at 9:45 a.m. with the Colorado River Water Conservation District board of directors at the River District’s headquarters, 201 Centennial Drive, Suite 200, in Glenwood Springs, followed by a meeting with the editorial board of the Glenwood Springs Post Independent at 11.
Over the noon hour, the Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association will host a business lunch. The event is sold out.
At the luncheon, the governor will talk about economic development in Colorado and hear concerns and suggestions from business leaders.
Hickenlooper’s tour starts today with a visit with fire officials in Dillon, a tour of the Buena Vista Correctional Facility, a meeting with business leaders in Breckenridge and a presentation to the Vail Valley Rotary Club.
After stopping in Glenwood Springs on Thursday, he will meet with business leaders in Minturn. The governor will be back on the Western Slope Saturday to attend the Club 20 spring meeting.
