Colorado launches online map to help homeowners understand their property taxes

Colorado is rolling out a revamped online map to help homeowners estimate their property taxes this year as notices of valuation begin to hit their doorsteps.
The initiative, announced by Gov. Jared Polis and the Department of Local Affairs, aggregates data provided to the state by local governments to show historical taxing data and information on parcels and mill levies, according to a news release from the governor’s office.
The information is aimed at creating a centralized database to help provide context and clarity to a complicated topic. The map also includes a calculator to help determine a property owner’s taxes.
2025 is a reassessment year for property owners. The legislature last year passed a series of measures aimed at blunting the increase in property taxes for at least six years.
The online map can be viewed at DPT.Colorado.gov/property-tax-map.
