Colorado Parks and Wildlife seeks public input
Colorado Parks and Wildlife is seeking public comment on a strategic plan to establish a high-level vision and overarching goals for Colorado’s wildlife, state parks and outdoor recreation resources.
The public can take part in a statewide telephone town hall meeting from 7-8 p.m. Thursday, March 19. Participants can ask questions, share ideas and take part in live polling. To participate in the call, dial 877-229-8493 and enter the PIN, 111956.
In addition a workshop is set for 6-8:30 p.m. Monday, March 23 in Grand Junction. Another meeting is planned in Steamboat Springs.
In addition to the regional meetings, the public can respond to an online comment form in both English and Spanish, found at http://tinyurl.com/wildlifeplan.
The survey must be completed by April 3.
The completed Strategic Plan will incorporate feedback generated by the public process as well information gathered during recent planning and research efforts.
Final approval is expected to occur during the CPW Commission meeting in November of this year followed by implementation over the following three to five years.
