Come swing with the Swingtet

Mr. Booker and The Swingtet, featuring king of swing David Booker, will play music to get up and dance to at the Glenwood Springs Center for the Arts beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, April 19.

This is more than a concert: It’s a dance party with a very live band.

The Swingtet includes Ralph Dafermo on piano, Kyle Roberts on drums and John Scruggs on sax.

For those with two left feet, sport dance instructors from throughout the valley will provide pointers and instruction. If you can dance, come down and show off.

The bands play rockin’ renditions of tunes by Big Joe Turner, Fats Waller, Lester Young, Duke Ellington and many more blues, rock and swing greats, as well as its own original work.

Tickets are on sale now at $18 for members and $24 for nonmembers. Call 945-2414 for details.
