A stitch in timeNeedles & Pins is offering a cross-stitch class featuring a sampler by Just Nan called “Be Scary.” Cost is $20, which includes instruction, linen fabric, three colors of Kreinik metallic thread, an owl charm, beads and the pattern. Everyone is invited.Build a trailThe Colorado Environmental Coalition will hold Wilderness Restoration Weekends Oct. 11 to 13, with trailhead work at the Big Dominguez area south of Grand Junction. Explore this spectacular canyon while helping move a trailhead and clean up an old mine site. This area is one of the largest unprotected Bureau of Land Management roadless areas in the state and contains numerous petroglyphs, beautiful black schist pools and desert bighorn sheep.
