Support Women at LUNAFEST Feb. 1

Advocate Safehouse Project presents the 13th annual LUNAFEST on Saturday, Feb. 1, at the Hotel Colorado. There are two showings this year, at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Proceeds benefit Advocate Safehouse Project and the Breast Cancer Fund.

LUNAFEST connects women, their stories and their causes through film. This traveling film festival spotlights the work of diverse, talented women filmmakers, with intelligent, funny and thought-provoking themes.

Nine short films compel discussion, make you laugh, tug at your heartstrings, and motivate you to make a difference in your community. Varied in style and content, LUNAFEST is united by a common thread of exceptional storytelling — by, for and about women. For more information and to view the trailers visit http://www.lunafest.org.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Last year’s standing-room-only show was sold out. Advanced tickets can be purchased at The Blend in Carbondale, Treadz in Glenwood Springs, The Midland Art Company in Rifle, and select Alpine Banks. For more information, contact Emma at 945-2632, ext.107.
